We are looking forward to a busy weekend here at Barley Days Brewery! It is maple in the county weekend and there is a lot going on around ‘the County” ! Check out www.mapleinthecounty.ca to see all of the events. We have released our Sugar Shack Ale earlier this month, but if you haven’t tried it yet this is a great weekend to come on in and have a taste! There is a Maple Soiree at the Waring House this Saturday night where you can also find some Sugar Shack Ale. You can sip on this maple treat while you eat some tasty maple desserts and dance to “the Reasons” in the Waring Hall.
Cheers and hope to see you out!
Your Barley Days Beauty
Hello
I was recently in the county for the maple festival and had the opportunity to sample your Sugar Shack Ale. I write because I would like to know if cooking the beer would remove the alcohol content from it so I can introduce it into a pancake batter. I call my invention “Maple Beercake,” which I believe would be a profitable venture for both myself and Barley Days Brewery. If you could please write back with any ideas that would help facilitate the creation of a beer pancake, we could continue to venture into more maple beer flavoured products, such as Maple BeerBacon, Maple BeerSausage, Maple BeerBeans. Would it be at all possible to observe your maple beer making process to further expand my idea?
Thank you,
Jason.
